For the last five years I have been incarcerated at the California Men’s Colony (CMC) correctional facility in San Luis Obispo, CA. Prior to that, I was in and out of a variety of mental health facilities up and down the west coast. I enjoy sunning in the day room and constructing mosaic ash trays. When I get out I would like to pursue a career in song and dance.

After working as a news photographer for two years at KOLR in Springfield, I moved on to be the Weekend Sports Anchor at WABG-TV in Greenville, MS. There I won two Mississippi Associated Press Awards for my work; a second in photography in 1999 and a 3rd in Sports Reporting in 2000. In 2001 I moved to WDSI in Chattanooga, TN as the Weekend Sports Anchor. In 2003, I received a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Sports Reporting and a Tennessee Associated Press award for best sportscast in the state, for my weekly show "FOX61 SportsZone."
Also, "Shakedown in the Swamp", a program I co-produced and hosted, was nominated for a Regional Emmy.
In 2004, I won anthoer Tennessee Association of Broadcaster as Chattanooga's Best Reporter.
From 2002-2004, I also appeared weekly on "Racing Tonight", a syndicated NASCAR show, seen primarily east of the Mississippi.
In February of 2004, WDSI stopped producing its own newscast. After 4 months of freelancing as a sports reporter at WTVF-TV in Nashville, I have recently been named the new producer/host of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga's coaches show.

Nathan J Winkler

I've been busy since graduation. In the summer of 2000, I began working at the NBC affiliate (KSDK)in St. Louis. Stayed there for a year, then I was hired as a promotion writer/producer at the CBS affiliate in Champaign Illinois (WCIA). It seems I found my niché in the world of TV promotion (at least for the time being), as I won several awards for my work, including an Emmy in October of 2003. Ironically, I won the Emmy after my fianceé and I had already made our next move to West Palm Beach, Florida. I'm currently working as a promotion writer/producer at the CBS affiliate here as well (WPEC). We're getting married next October, and we're both thrilled to be living in south Florida. We both miss living in the midwest, but can't say the same for snow and cold weather...
